I am wearing 3-inch stiletto heels to work because I want to break them in for the wedding on Saturday. Everyone poked their heads out of their cubicles when I came in because Kate was like, "LOOK AT THOSE SHOES!!!" I still haven't made the walk to the kitchen to make my toast and water. It is really nice to read a story like that, especially today.

I think the word "miracle" is too often ascribed to works of a deity. But humans can make amazing things happen all the time, and with our limitations and lack of omnipotence, I don't think it's inaccurate to call our achievements miracles.

Thanks for your feedback on the word choice. The second definition is "a highly improbable or extraordinary event, development, or accomplishment that brings very welcome consequences," which certainly fits. You're right that it doesn't necessarily have to do with god(s) or religion.

LOL @ "fierce." OK, Tyra Banks. ;) The wedding is at 10am, so people will probably think I'm making the walk of shame in these things. They are definitely after-dark shoes.
