Thai drama = rape drama?!

I have no idea how I got hooked on Thai drama, it has to be when I was reading a chinese blog and I heard people mentioning about this drama where a man capture a woman, end up raping her, then fall in love and live happily ever after. Right there I had flashbacks in my head about all the older Taiwanese dramas I watch (the era before idol dramas

I watched Jam Loey Rak and enjoyed it despite the fact that he raped her because there wasn't an attempt to say that it was in anyway acceptable. I've moved on to Sawan Biang and I'm so pissed off at how both the rapist and the victim act as though he has rights to her afterwards that I can't watch the show to the end. My wife says that Narin really loves Kawee, but I watched the whole kidnap thing and that's not love. Bleah.

I agree with you about Sawan Biang. I don't think that even if you like someone, with the whole kidnap and rape situation you could grow to love the person. I think that's just stockholm symdrome! lol. It's sad how he never got punish for it.
