I've had this dream of driving (and crashing) a red car since I was a kid. My dad decided to give me a car during my first year of university. A red Volkswagen. I sold it and used the money for textbooks. Maybe a little bit superstitious, but was too terrified to take any chances! (Thankfully, he said he understood.)
I've heard this thing about how you can't dream your own death. I wonder if that's why you woke up.
I want her dream sister to survive. BTW I have dream friends who have been in my dreams for years but don't correlate to real-life friends. I often wonder if they are real people finding me with the dream selves as we sleep.
Dream-mom seems like a worrier, while dream-sister is sweet and sad. Not wanting to be left behind in the discarded dream is nice touch that shows us something about both sisters.
You can definitely die in dreams-- I guess most people just don't. When I die in dreams, I become one of the other "characters" in the dream (it's like I hope right into their bodies). If the dream isn't interesting enough from their POV, though, sometimes it dissipates.
