[The Training Center hadn't held much appeal for Yuna at first. To her, it had also seemed a little frightening, especially since she was used to travelling with a large group of people whenever fiends were around. But today she had decided to test out what the Garden had called "GFs". By the description, she assumed they were similar to aeons in ( Read more... )

[Grell was not one to put much thought into using these so called GFs, but the classes so far proved to make them interesting, and so here he was, practicing his fire magic on those poor plant like monsters. The sight and sound of them burning were just the pick-me-up he needed. They burned red due to his fire magic, and he never got tired of setting those pitiful things ablaze. He still had his chainsaw out as a precautionary measure, and he felt too unclothed without it, especially in this setting.

Perhaps the plants were hiding from him now that most of their brethren were extra well done, so he went in search for more. That's when he came across that thing. It was massive, and he was pretty sure the fire magic he had would do little good.

He noticed the girl standing below the creature, wondering if she was responsible for it. The grip on his chainsaw only tightened.

Just in case.]

[Yuna didn't notice Grell at first, since she was too busy finishing her summoning. She was still puzzled at how different it felt, even though she'd executed the same movements out of habit. However, after Valefor swooped to take down some of very poor plant monsters, she saw Grell standing nearby, watching Valefor. She also noted that he was holding a chainsaw.

However, due to her own naivety, she thought that was merely because he was in the Training Center, and that it had nothing to do with her GF. Of course. She smiled at him politely.]

Hello, sir. I'm sorry-- did I interrupt your training?

[Grell definitely rose an eyebrow at being called 'Sir'.] I think 'Ma'am' suits me better, and not really...

[He looks up at the large creature, pointing at it with his chainsaw.] What is that behemoth?

[Alice, too, had been making a run through the training center. With Roger Bacon present, she felt it necessary to keep her stats up herself in top physical condition. When she witnesses Yuna's beautiful summon, she lets out a tiny gasp; that young woman did it differently than the instructors had shown.]

That was amazing!

[Yuna... had definitely not been expecting an audience! Starting a little, she turns to face the girl who had spoken, flushing. Although she was used to her teammates seeing her summon-- and the villagers of Besaid when she had first shown them-- they had all shown reverence for the aeon, rather than praise for her. But... now that Valefor is a GF, Yuna supposes that it's really no different from any other GF. And they seemed to be used commonly in this place.]

Oh... thank you! I didn't realise anyone was watching...

I apologize if I startled you any. [Alice gives a bright smile, holding tightly to the book she called her weapon. She had yet to really use the summons, mostly due to the fact that it was still rather foreign to her.]

I've never really seen anyone summon like you had. It was... beautiful. [Like an art form, and Alice had a love for beautiful art]

[She's only here in an attempt to work out a few kinks in her body, and so she really hadn't accounted for seeing something large and winged inside the center. That certainly wasn't there the last time she had been in this place. There were only the dinosaurs and the walking plants and... Her hand goes reflexively to the sword at her side, even though it might be futile.

Instinct gives her two choices, fight or flight. Technically she wouldn't even be able to fight the thing-- who could? And so running away is the better of the two. She'd rather get away from this and live to see another ( ... )

[Yuna looks around upon hearing Naoto's voice, surprised. She really hadn't expected to find anyone else there during her run through the Training Center-- it felt very isolated, despite the fact that there were so many cadets and SeeDs living in the Garden that might want to train.]

Naoto? [And so she, too, moves through some of the bushes to reach her roommate. She notices that Naoto doesn't sound too happy.] Are you all right?

[She moves a little closer, still wary, but not of Yuna, no. Anything that big shouldn't be able to disappear just like that, but it did, and so who can tell when it'll decide to crop up again?]

I should be asking you that.

[And to her, she's in the right, because Yuna's obviously been here longer, and there's no way she couldn't have seen the thing. And maybe she's just lucky to have gotten away when she did.]

[Yuna tilts her head to one side, confused.]

Those fiends that resembled plants weren't too hard to take out. Perhaps I overdid it a little, but... I was just practicing. [Maybe she meant that she shouldn't have used a GF on such easy monsters? Yuna frowns. That was probably a good point.]
