1 ~ honestly i have been a little intimidated by you ever since i met you. simply because you are both very intellgient and unerringly cool. it makes me so very happy to have a friend who is willing to take his christianity seriously enough to know the history and theology behind it. at times it's difficult for me to reconcile that person with the one who giggles maniacly when subtly calling the cell phone number of a person who is in the same room as you, but that complexity just makes the whole 'david' experience that much richer. it has been a great pleasure getting to know you better though i still kind of feel like i don't really know you at all.

2 ~ thirty-three by the smashing pumpkins. as much for the cool photography in the video as anything else.

3 ~ hard. uhm...hobbes from calvin and hobbes is the only person i can think of who even kind of comes close.

4 ~ i can't really get the term renaissance man out of my head.

the idea of anyone finding me intimidating always strikes me as so absurd since i think of myself as mostly ridiculous with a few serious moments interspersed throughout. it's honestly quite shocking to discover that humans find my intimidating, although i guess with people i don't know i end up being more serious than i normally am, so maybe that has something to do with it. in conclusion, i'm mostly silly and should probably be taken a lot less seriously. thanks for the other very nice complements, though!
