I don't use bittorrent anymore, but one time one of my direct downloads died with only 8MB left. I had to start it all over again and was so ticked off.

I do a mix of both, especially when I'm watching a currently airing drama and don't want to wait for the direct downloads to be uploaded to the jdrama community. I've also experienced the DDL dying in the middle of downloading, and that did not amuse me.

(And when I got home this evening and turned it on again, it finished in less than a minute. Go figure.)

I don't go to jdramas unless I'm looking for a complete series. For me, bittorrent lags the internet for everyone, so I try not to use it. If you're looking for a good DDL comm, I love ourhour. Their uploads are relatively quick and it's so organized. XD

jdramas was the first place that I knew I could get downloads, so that's why I use it. I'll check into the one you suggested and see how it works for me. I haven't really had to worry about the lags bittorrent causes since I've been basically living alone for three years.

That happened to me before. if this is a video - you usually can watch the files with high completion rate. If it is more than 90% there is hardly any difference

Well, I was able to get it to finish downloading when I came home from work, so it ended up not being a problem. It was just really frustrating watching it download and then completely stop. Thanks for the info though. I didn't know that.
