After almost three weeks, this morning I actually managed to write something. Not much just a couple of paragraphs, but I pushed a bit forward my Torchwood/Primeval/Sherlock crossover fic. Yay ( Read more... )

Oh no, your poor cough! I hope you're going to get better soon, but damn, it sucks that this phone call made you so much worse. We all make bad decisions being polite :(

Good on you for getting some writing done!

It was our choir leader who had planned that wonderful surprise for me yesterday and wanted to know how it turned out since she'd been very ill for days. I didn't have the heart to shake her off.

So do I, to be honest. I've been coughing for three weeks by now, and the worse is just coming? Oh, dear...

Oh, it does... in a way. I cough a lot more now than before. Plus, now Mum is coughing, too. Not really surprising, of course, as I can't make her dress warmly enough, but not a good thing nevertheless.

I keep debating real tree or not--so far we've stuck with real because of the wonderful smell, and we can recycle in our bird habitat "woodpile". Artificial would definitely be easier though. People here put their trees up very early, so by today they're being sold at a discount. When I was a child the tree went up Christmas Eve, but over the years I've grudgingly accepted the fact that Peter puts it up a few days early :)

I hope you start to feel better so that the holiday can be more relaxing for you.

We still put it up on Christmas Eve - save for one year when we were a day early. But on the closed yet unheated balcony we usually keep it well into February; sometimes we joke that the Easter Bunny would build its nest in the branches of our Christmas tree. *g*

Hope you feel better soon.
