I've finished the almost-forgotten pencil holders and am quite content how they turned out. See for yourself:

Afraid so. *sigh* She's usually not this brutal, but sometimes professional pride overcomes her and decides that "there is still something I have to dig out", regardless of the consequences. The stupid thing is, once a doctor at Klinik am Südring explained that carving out all the corners actually isn't a good thing. But a 72-year-old professional is hard to persuade...

Ow and ouch! Shouldn't the lady be more professional and accept that older feet need a gentle treatment?

The pencil holders turned out beautifully!

I hope you will indeed limit tomorrow's outing to the corner supermarket. That will be more than enough for your painful feet.

It's a blessing in disguise that the cafe visit had to be cancelled! You would have been miserable with your feet in this condition.

Good luck with getting back on your feet!

Thanks. I'm planning to do some baking tomorrow; fortunately one can do that barefooted... or rather wearing thick, comfortable socks. Our kitchen is quite warm, no stone flooring, so it should be possible.
