I hope so, too! We need more Jack in our DW! And yes, many of the things Jack loves about the Doctor are the things that just make him the Doctor in any regeneration.

I don't think so - I definitely hear it as "Troy," and I just checked a few webpages with episode quotes and they had "Troy," too.

Bwahahaha! Captain Troy Handsome made me laugh in the episode, and your use of it here made me laugh even more. I love the Eleven/Jack dynamic you have here, with Jack both knowing him and not knowing him, thinking he's out of place when he really isn't. I love Eleven/Jack so much, since there's the possibility for way less angst than with Ten. And I loved the "Do not, Do too" argument. It was silly, but sometimes Doctor Who IS silly. It's part of why I love the show. Anyway, long comment is long, but I really enjoyed this fic. Thanks for sharing, since the world can always use more Eleven/Jack :)
