He's been here many times in the past month; he's walked along it, he's walked over it, he's thrown all-purpose bait into it in a fit of blind optimism and come up empty handed. It's the only body of water around, and as someone who spent his life on a tiny island

[He gives a nod. Sounds like a PLAN. He shall continue sneaking along this alleyway, now in search of a clothing store.]

[The kid seems a little young to know how to sneak around heavily armed adults in hostile areas, but one can't judge by appearances alone.]

[Alex nods. After all, he's technically younger than Link and he was sneaking around military bases within the first few weeks of his... life? Existence?]

Yeah. Only smaller, way more accurate and just as dangerous.

[Especially to twelve year old boys.]

[Tiny, accurate cannons? Pish! He holds up his (crusty old wooden) shield!!]

I'll be fine.

You need something metal. And the force would knock you back if your quick enough to protect yourself in time.

[While it sounds improbable that these 'guns' would be any match for his hero's shield, a metal shield would be kind of nice... DOES SUCH A THING EXIST]
