One of my favorites of yours - definitely. There's an art to writing conversations between men or boys when you're a female and this really shows that art.

Well, I read PigWithHair's comment first, and that intrigued me so I had to link to the story even though I'm meant to be working...

I think she's right - boy-talk isn't the same as girl-talk, and I always wonder when I write Hermione whether she sounds realistic to a female reader. Your boy-talk here sounds very natural to me, and I think this whole thing about what happened to each of them while they were separated is fascinating - especially Ron, of course, because we don't learn much about it in DH.
