You know, they always have to tell you the weird stuff for any intervention, including VBAC's. You are very close to your last c-section, which makes it more cary. I was told to wait a year before getting pregnant after a c-sec. I was pregnant after 7 months, no complications and had a VBAC. But they did insist on inducing 10 days early to my due date, to keep the weight of the baby down.
I feel like, by having the C-Sect., I'm missing out on some integral part of mother/parenthood. Like when I tell people I had the C-Sect I feel like they are judging me. So I really want to have this second one VBAC. But I'm not going to risk myself or my baby to make it happen. At the first sign of complication I'm definitely going to opt for the C-Sect.

That's interesting. My OB said they wouldn't induce if I opt to go VBAC and everything is okay. I would have to start labor on my own. If I end up like 2 weeks past my date they would take me for a C-Sect. But no induction... It's a lot to think about.
Good news that everyone is doing well. And I know a lot of OBs are against VBAC (some because it's just easier for them to go C-sec after and some for other reasons) but my sister in law did VBAC and had no problems. Her first baby stalled labor after they'd been at it for 30 hours so no one was really excited for her to try it the second time but she was determined. No problems whatsoever with the second. My childbirth coach did it also and never had problems. It's a choice you have to make though. Worst case scenario (in my opinion) is that you give it a try and it doesn't work you go c-section.
That is very reassuring to read. It is definitely a lot to think about, and I have 7 months before my due date, so I have time to think it all through and consider my options. I do appreciate hearing stories where VBAC went okay. It gives me hope that there is a chance for me.
I realise that there is every possibility that I will end up with another C-Sect. and I'm basically okay with that.
well yay that everyone is good. that's always good news. That's a tough decision to make. I'm sorry I can't offer you any insight or advice, but you know whatever choice you make, I'll support you 100%.
Thank you, Charlie. Having unconditional support is always appreciated. It is a big, tough decision, but I have time to think about it. You are amazing and I love you.

I would love to go VBAC, but my OB gave me some weird/scary stats and they have me seriously considering just having another C-Sect.
