I've been wanting an external hard drive for a while now... I really need to back up my important documents (especially my digital pictures) and just having the extra storage space would be nice! I swear, I'm never buying a computer from a store again. I've had my "new" PC for just over a year now, and I think I can safely say that I'm less than impressed. Yeah, so I have automatic updates turned on... Never had a problem until today. But now there's a .NET Framework 2.0 security update (KB917283) that just refuses to install. A quick look at the Microsoft Windows Update news boards and it's clear a lot of people are having this problem. The solution I found?

I got my storage drive out of my computer and I was going to put it into my multimedia PC to see if I'd have any luck recovering my files. The back of the drive caught my eye... It looked like a few of the wires were covered in some kind of clear liquid.

Earlier today I was trying to find out just what was taking up all the space on my hard drive, and I noticed that my "All Shared Documents" folder was HUGE. So I opened it up.
