I'll admit to not having read any of the New Series Adventures (shockingly!), apart from The Silent Stars Go By, to which I was drawn by the twin lures of the Ice Warriors and Dan Abnett, the Charles Dickens of licenced tie-in fiction. Jonathan Morris is a really good writer, though. It kind of shocks me (although it shouldn't), that Festival of Death didn't make the top 50. It is one of the best Who novels of them all. Still, this one sounds extremely intriguing; I may have to check it out.
