Seconding what setentpet said about 2 & 3 - especially 3. I LOVE the layers of emotion and mystery here. And #2 is proof that "monochrome" doesn't mean a flat image because you've teased out so many half-tones of the one color by use of shadow and light. Well done!
Aww thanks! I must admit, I found it very hard to do monochrome, all the colours came out flat and yuck to begin with. I was trying to go for a sepia toned, old-timey photograph with Mal, it was one of the few that I was pleased with how it turned out. The last one... well, I just tried to hide what I'd done to River with text, hahah!
The one of Jayne is probably the weakest, technically, but I always like to enter 3 icons if I can. I faffed about with text for a while, but couldn't get anything I was happy with. Such is life! :)
You know, I know none of the shows (still not further down to whedonverse than buffyverse...although I know Nathan Fillion, of course and know where he's from), but I loved your icons! Funnily I especially loved the first one and thought it was a great composition. (But maybe that only shows that I still mostly look for the effect it has on me as a viewer.) Love them all three!
