I swear that a couple of years ago I can across some book recommendation community here, and I can't find it now. There you'd just make a post saying "I'm looking for a YA book with a ghost mansion and a love triangle, any suggestions?". Or "Something that'd take place on Christmas in London". And people just.. recommend books that suit the

There's two - whatwasthatbook and find_a_book, although the first has the best results.

Be warned, though - you'll read and think "That one sounds interesting" and "oh, I'd read that book", and the next thing you know you've built three more bookcases and had to move the dog out to make room for all the new books you've bought...

Also, if you're looking for a particular book, when you post you need to give as much info as you remember, even if it doesn't feel important. Surprisingly enough "I think the main character slapped one of her maids because she couldn't slap another lady" or "The main character had a name like a cocktail" often rings a bell with the readers...

the comm I'm looking for is different type. It's not for books I've already read and forgot the title. It's for new searching new ones according to preferred characteristics...

books is a good place. Also bookish and books_for_yas and bookshare. Those are good for asking for book recommendations.
