I just remembered a movie we used to watch about once a week when I was in grade school (early-mid 90's), but I can only remember a tiny bit.

What I can recall is that it's set in non-modern times,and there's a group of kids, and one of them stutters when he talks, or possibly can't talk at all (I think. He may be blind, or possibly deaf.) or maybe ( Read more... )

You know, Mel Gibson's disfigurement makeup looks really familiar to me, so I think I've seen this too, but it's actually Rigaletto as posted below.

That was definitely a movie called Rigoletto, but it wasn't the opera. Trying to find it on IMDB now.

That is totally it. It has the little boy with the stutter who is cured, and it makes sense that they would show that in a music class. :)
