I'm from Malaysia.

I've come across this 'pairing' since I was 8 and read Asterix in Britain. I think Hetalia just aggravated it. It's the reason I'm in the Hetalia fandom. And the more I read classic fiction (and even some non-fiction) and comics, the more I like it. All those sniffy British peers going "They are not quite the set" ♥

I tend to like love/hate pairings as well, and pairings where both parties have known each other for so long that they know exactly what makes each other tick. So I'm really a sucker for Francis and Arthur :D They're a married-but-separated couple/divorcees. Hey, they have children! sort of And Francis' ability to bring Arthur out of his self-inflicted tsundereness isolationist policy LOL.

Who tops? According to the golden "larger-seme-smaller-uke rules" it would be Francis. They're the same height, but Francis always looks taller... To me Arthur is the perfect example of a tsundere uke so I would prefer Francis top too :3

LOL YOUR ICON-- sigh, wish I was as patriotic as that :)

haha there's other Malaysians around the main hetalia comm, but they're not in this ship, I don't think.

HERE HAVE SOME MILO, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO GET WHERE I AM NOW

Pfft, patriotic. That song makes me laugh because I have to cringe otherwise. I made the icon as part of an ASEAN set and I keep it around to remind myself that my hometown is in Perak rather than Singapore.

SOB MILO. Whenever I head off for uni, my mother packs two huge bags of Milo packets into my luggage because she doesn't want me to bankrupt myself the way my cousin did when she managed to finally happen across Milo in California.

Hello there! I'm from Poland.

I think I actually shipped them even before knowing hetalia B\ LOL A History of Great Britain course made me realize that there's a love-hate relationship between these two countries. I think it's the first yaoi couple from hetalia that I accepted. When did I start liking them as a couple? IDK really. About... november last year I think (Initially wasn't really fond of pairing hetalia characters:x) What I like about them is that despite the hatred/rivalry they actually support and depend on each other... Somehow. Besides, England is absolutely tsundere around France ♥ Which I really enjoy watching xD

Generally I have nothing against France topping but I'm really sick of England being uke all the time. He'd make a brilliant seme and I prefer him to be one.
France provoking England and then England owning France totally - this is a perfect scenario to me xD

I'm from England.

Honestly? I think I liked this pairing ever since I started learning about France-Britain relations in history. Now that I've come across Hetalia, I like this pairing even more. I think that there is so much common history between the two nations that it's almost impossible to ignore. Like it or not, those two are always intertwined with each other.

Not only does this pairing have a love/hate tension dynamic that echos throughout history, but it can also work on many different levels. I really love their relationship and how Himaruya presents it - They always fight with each other in a desperate power-struggle, but if real danger approaches they stick together. I don't believe for a second that they truly hate each other. After all, they have definitely influenced each other and they know each other better than anyone else. But as maikichelorrain said, they just can't admit that they can stand each other. Maybe even admire each other a little.
(Even if it might not be on a Hetalia level, I know a lot of British people who admire ( ... )

We're so tied to each other and so different at the same time (and French people admires the UK too!)

I'm from good ol' Canada.

Hmm, I think one of the first realizations I had when I found out about hetalia was "Holy shiznickers! France and England are SO wanting eachother" Then I met the characters and it was just love from then on. Unlike most fans, I never realy connected with USxUK. I donno, to me...Arthur just can't bottom to a younger nation. And that relationship tends to leave out Arthurs peverted sex endevors that he's supposedly taken XD This doesn't mean I don't like USxUK at all, just not nearly as much as FRxUK Also, I sortof, kindof have a huge kink for the french language

They both do. As much as I like Arthur submitting to France's....france-ness XD UK has owned France too much in the past for Arthur to take it all the time. Hur hur, I pity France when I think about all the kinks Arthur puts him through when he tops >:D

Canadian all up in this business

When I first got into Hetalia, I think Himaruya had the France/UK header on his site and I was just like "Oh yeah that would make sense." The tension and the old-time romance appealed to me. Then I got to the fandom and was like "What US/UK why?"

I prefer France on top ("Big brother will teach you" kind of thing) but w/e.

You're right, I already shipped France/England before, but seeing the both of them as humans, sexy, made me like this pairing more ^^

US/UK makes sense (though I didn't like them as lovers because...they are like father/son, and I guess it is the most popular pairing because most fangirls on this community are from the US. And UK crying because of US...

Also, thank you for creating this community :)

When someone intro'd me to Hetalia, they told me the comic where UK cries over US would convert me to US/UK. It didn't :x I have a similar view of US/UK being father/son (or rather, I think the relationship is more like mother/son given the way UK dotes over US...)
