I was told by maidenmorticia that if I had a problem with the moderation to take it here, but I don't see how that it accomplished in comments. I apparently am not allowed to discuss the issue in the community and would prefer an open forum to discuss the situation.

Please advise.s

This is how the community is set up - to have discussion in comments here, and leave womenhealth free for posters with questions and advice. This forum is open and we welcome communication from you, and anyone.

Is there something specific you would like to discuss, or are you simply sharing your desire for an open forum?

Yes, I do have something specific to discuss, but I simply won't do it in a comment.

Ok, well. You're certainly welcome to email me (or another mod). I'm not sure what to tell you if you're dissatisfied with the venue we have set up for discussion.

The entry you linked to has been deleted. If you want to email problems or such to us we will discuss them and get back to you.

I will begin a discussion about adding those communities to our list, just because we are a team and need to talk about everything. But i've heard nothing but good things about those comms, so i'll get back to you within a day or so

thanks! they are newer comms but endosurvivors' memories section is based on the endometriosis comm (the mod is MIA for months and we wanted a memories, so endosurvivors was created to do it)

Hey, sorry this took so long. We would like to suggest that you talk to the people at fem_comm about getting your communities added to their list. We're in the process of revamping our userinfo list to only have a few there, otherwise we will direct people to fem_comm. We will keep those in mind if we get questions about endo though.

Also, with MIA mods it's possible to get ownership of the comm transferred to someone else through LJ if you haven't tried already.

i just wanted to let you ladies know that wichapi seems to be using the women's health community to sell her beauty products. as far as i can tell thats not in violation of any community rules, per se, but i think it is annoying and disrespectful. just a FYI. if you all decide that that kind of behavior is acceptable, i certainly respect your judgment.

Yes, but when you become argumentative and start debating with and antagonising a member (as you were just now with Wichapi), it does not help. It is *fine* to leave us a comment asking us if we think a post is appropriate. It is absolutely NOT fine to start debates (pls see the community user info for our NO DEBATE policy) nor to conduct what I like to call vigilante maintaining. If you want to help, just leave us a comment and then let us deal with it.

Thanks,

xo M.

I wasn't sure where else to post this, I just wanted to say that I was very offended by what the person said in this thread and commentary like this makes the community seem very hostile and makes me want to leave: http://community.livejournal.com/womenhealth/960913.html?thread=6837393#t6837393

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and i'm sorry you had to deal with this. I have warned the offending member, and brought it to the attention of our other mods as well, so that if anything else happens, we know the backstory as well. I hope you will choose to stay, as most people here are not like that, and we try not to let anyone say things of that nature. Again, my apologies for your having to deal with this.

It's okay. After that happened I got a lot of really nice and helpful advice from other members and I feel a lot better now. I just would have hated for other people who were looking for diet advice to have seen what she said and think the community wasn't a nice place.

I feel like I'm being harassed by the MODS from ask_a_nurse in your community. It feels like they are attacking me. I'm considering leaving your community. I don't like being attack by them.
