My point, Amy, is that I don't bitch about it, other than when I hear people complaining about such trivial things. I'm a US Marine, when I get an order I say Aye Aye, Sir! and I do it to the best of my ability because it is something that has to be done. I'm not any higher than the rest of you. I'm speaking my piece just as you are.

Your entire last entry was you bitching because you couldnt go home, so dont say you dont bitch about it. Youre free to say whatever you'd like & like Zac said I'm proud you are out there serving our country, I'm proud of my 4 other Marines out there who are already in Iraq. But please dont sit here and call our problems trivial or unimportant, because it just makes you sound like an arrogant ass.

People know what they know. Everyone’s view of what is good and bad (and what should be complained about) is different based on their experiences. Walter, you chose to be a Marine and to have the life you have, just like most of the rest of us who went to college etc. So I don’t know why you are really complaining to begin with… But if you really want to play this game… none of us has any right to complain about anything. Think about the thousands and thousands of children who die every day from starvation, for example. And you are complaining about getting up early and getting yelled at and being afraid of losing your job? Please. The days are much too dark.

Who are you? I've had this problem before, people don't want to debate things in the open. It bugs me more than trivial complaining when people are cowardly. And like I said to Amy, I'm not complaining about having to do those things as much as I am complaining about others not thinking about what they're complaining about. I know I have it at least ten times better than my brother Marines sleeping in the sand in Iraq. And for that I am thankful. The thousands of children starving to death sucks. They don't deserve to die any more than you or I do. If anything, we, being people who live in a civilised nation, have mroe reason to die because, as you pointed out, don't realise how good we have it. All in all, I'm not sure wether I'm agreeing with you or debating. And now I've got myself all confused.

I'd have to agree with you Walter - people don't know how lucky they are to have the problems they have. I'm in a long distance relationship with a girl on the other side of the country when i'm at school. I have a lot of problems myself that I have to work on. But you know what? As bad as I may think my problems may or not be, at least i'm not in fear for my life. At least I'm not worrying about not seeing my family and friends for 6 months. At least i'm not worrying about entering a war zone
