I don't know if any of you have encountered much of this, but I remain amazed at how unprofessional some of these vendors are. I just sent out a big round of "thank you for your time" emails to vendors who I wasn't going to use, and a couple of them sent back kind of passive aggressive notes about how I should have interviewed them in person, or ( Read more... )

We are 4 days away. Our rings are being held at the post office since we weren't told when they would arrive. I have missed my engagement ring SO MUCH! Family starts arriving today, and I'm almost ready to throw off the bowlines (just have to send two quick emails to my bridesmaids and my family)....

This bakery is owned by FMIL's student's parents. The are local and specialize in cheescake. We. love. cheescake. definitely. So aside from the whole "we know a guy" thing, they seemed like a good fit with our personal tastes.

We got our Holga images back from Christina this week. I am SO excited to see them in person (as the digital scans just don't do them justice. I need to choose a couple to have enlarged and framed for my office. We got SO lucky with the light on the beach that day and got great contrast in the photos.  I went on my first venue visit yesterday, and it occured to me that I didn't necessarily know what questions to ask. 
Aside from the basics, like
"do you have my date?"
"how much does it cost?"
"How long can I be there?"
"when/how can I decorate?"
"What caterers do you work with/can I see your menu?"
"Do you do bar service/is there a minimum?"

Does anyone know of a good place to get vendor reviews? I usually just google or go to BBB, but my photographer isn't popping up anywhere. I'm about to sign the contract but would like to check out some reviews. Does anyone have any ideas?
