Having studied kanji and calligraphy, I'm very critical of the depiction of brushwork when it's not done by a brush. This is excellent work.

If the ancients started with a circle, perhaps my modern class was designed for us to keep our own sanity; we started with one, a horizontal line. I don't know that I've ever tried a circle.
