I knew it! When Obama said this morning that he was "the 44th American" to become President, he was wrong: There have been 43 men Americans in office. Grover Cleveland's terms were not consecutive. He therefore is counted twice as President - but he was only one man ( Read more... )

The Obama folks said they knew it was 43 people, but felt if they said 43 it would have confused the listeners.
