True Blood?

I watched part of an episode of True Blood the other night and I honestly have no idea what all the fuss is about. The production quality was low, the acting was awful and borderline hilarious (unintentionally, of course) and the story, well, it's just another tale of vampires and werewolves going after each other, and vampires falling in love

I watched an episode for the first time a few days ago too and had the same reaction (minus the eyebrows part). I don't get it either. I assume people must like it for the absurdity and general stupidness. I find it hard to believe people take that show seriously. ... ?

I'm glad I'm not the only one. With the near-universal praise and fawning I've been hearing, I thought I was way out here on a limb with this. But not so! We should band together or something.

so just as a test I went into google and typed "true blood is" and waited to see what the given options were

- is terrible
- is better than twilight
- is awesome

It seems like we're gonna need to step it up a notch..

i read the first book, which wasn't too bad, but i had no desire to ever see it because i assumed all that was the case (didn't anticipate the eyebrow issue though).

however, my roommate is apparently a fan and we will probably be getting HBO.
