Full nights of sleep also become rarer when the kid first becomes mobile. Pulling up to stand, they tend to become more fully awake than when all they can do is lie there.

For the first three or four days after Jack learned to pull himself up to a standing position in the crib, he would not just go back to sleep. He would walk around and around the perimeter of the crib, get really tired, eventually sit down, and cry because he was so tired. But he was so enthused by his newfound abilities that he refused to lie down and go to sleep until he was utterly exhausted (and we were utterly exhausted having listened to the whole event on the baby monitor and tried to go in and soothe him). Eventually, the newness of the ability wore off, and after that he would go back to sleep on his own pretty quickly.
So, get ready for that, if Drew goes through a similar transition.
