The bunnies were interesting and frightening all at once, but the game was a lot of fun. Sameth is grinning as he grabs a beer and heads over to the party to say hello to people.

His cricket whites aren't quite as clean as before, it turns out demon bunnies explode, but he doesn't look as bad as he did after the last cricket game he played in.

"Its another sport that's sort of like baseball."

Beat.

"You are very good?"

"Pretty good, yes. I was a batsman."

X is silent again for a few moments.

"I do not know what that is, either."

"It means I was best at batting, that's all."

"I do not know if baseball has a name for that."

Beat.

"It is important?"

"Not really."

[cutting_edgex23]

"Okay."

She subsides into silence.

"You cannot play cricket on a baseball field?"

"Not really, cricket's played on a round field."

"Why?"

She is curious.

"I'm not sure, it just is."

"Oh."

Beat.

"I do not play sports."

[makesthings]

"You play very well for not playing."

[cutting_edgex23]

"I have been well-trained," X says.

And then, as an afterthought --

"It is efficient."

"I guess it must be."
