Mother's Day Sunday when I was 17, I led part of church -- they were doing a youth-involvement thing while the associate pastor was away, so a teenager took the role of the assoc. pastor. I wrote a 5-10 minute mini-sermon thing and read it/preached it (it was approved by the main pastor first, but all he suggested was changing the last line to flow better), then there was a group prayer and a hymn, then the main pastor's sermon.
Anyway, my point was YES. That's when I started to understand what being a religious leader meant, and that it was in me to do it if I chose to. What a different person I might be if I'd been brave enough to major in religion. *g*
I am not very surprised at all, but I am VERY proud of you! It takes courage to step out that first public time, and it was just a matter of time until you were 'called'. :-) Many gentle blessings!
