A little depressing but not overall surprising Big Finish news: there was a post in the Big Finish Listeners facebook group yesterday. The Big Finish day had included the Stargate range in its programming and Jason Haigh-Ellery told the story of MGM allowing BF to advertise the new audio range on their facebook page to reach the Stargate fans. ::facepalm:: Don't want it? Don't buy it! I'm not sure why this is so difficult for people. And do they seriously think that if BF wasn't doing this, there would be a TV show?

Personally, I love audio drama, because I can listen to it while cooking/working/folding laundry/etc.

I mean no offense to ALL Stargate fans, but haven't the hardcore Stargate fans always been a bunch of bullies and idiots? And does it really surprise anyone that they reacted like that?

"Mainstream" fandom is pretty much why I stay away from fandom forums and just stay in my corner where the sane people live. LOL

As someone who was in Stargate fandom for a decade, no, most of the hardcore Stargate fans were neither bullies nor idiots. Please don't tar the serious fans with the same brush as the minority of the fans who don't know what socially acceptable behavior is.

Just because Stargate fans got burned by the PTB is no excuse to slam on the BF people. Ugh, that's appalling. I'm not a huge fan of the BF format for Stargate audios, but that doesn't mean that they're people I should yell at.
