It's that time of year...

The calendar may say August and the weather may be hazy hot and humid, but the Halloween candy is already making appearances in the grocery aisles. You know what that means. bradygirl_12 has opened up her annual DCU Halloween challenge with a ton of useful prompts. One year I will actually write something for this. I have an old bunny, but given the Blackest ( Read more... )

We really need some trick-or-treating fluff this year, don't we?

I'd rather see a Marvel Halloween challenge...

Anyway, if you want to give me any X-Men prompts, maybe I could try to do something fic-related for your birthday. :) That meme I did recently made me discover that I *can* do really short stuff on the quick, if I have something to work from.

I'd love to see a general Marvel Halloween one actually. My muses have been spending some more time in the non-X-men parts of Marvel lately.

And actually the most you'd have to change with the existing challenge is the locations.

You know most of my favorite characters: Cyclops, Jean, Kitty, Colossus, and Storm to an extent. What kind of prompts? Phrases, lyrics?

Anything you'd like to see. :) With the meme I referred to, a friend would provide one sentence, and I had to write a continuation based on it in 5+ sentences. But if you want to suggest specific characters, an object/action that has to be included, or anything else at all--I'm foolishly up for a challenge. *g*

(As for Halloween X-fic, I do already have "A Haunting in Westchester", which has been one of my literary high points in the fandom so far.)

How about something about Storm? I'm particularly thinking of the exchange between her and Wolverine in the first movie: "There's a war coming. Are you sure you're on the right side?" "At least I've chosen a side." Anything or any where you want to go with that.
