Roadkill is indeed a very wide term. But here, it sort of goes under "venison":-).
All these roe-deer that run over roads...
Sad, but: They tend to be not overrun, but just thrown down and killed. You are obliged to tell the police, but usually, if you want - and can - they will let you prepare and eat it. I haven't personally. But the people from Feldis do, quite often. There are no wildlife-fences on mountain roads...

Those mountain people would know, I guess. Most of them are licensed hunters anyway...

Roadkill .. mmm .. in Aus this can include kangaroo or large monitor lizards. Quite likely there would be portions that werent affected, and naturally you would only use something recent. But, no, cant say I would either :)
