Were you using LJ for the family blog? I'm about to nix Facebook. I'm torn because I have many computer-challenged relatives who've been talked into Facebook, and it's my only contact with them being so far away, but I hate that program. Ugh.

Yes, I'd f-lock pics of my kids too. If my husband ever found out I had put any up, or that I share what I do in LJ, he'd have a conniption fit and probably explode. That's why he needs to expire before I do. Although, if I expire first, really, I wouldn't have to watch the explosion, now would I? And ... he doesn't know a left click from a right click and probably would never find it. LOLOL

My only online relatives are my parents and my in laws, so I don't have a family blog - it never occurred to me to make one. We live near my parents so they know what goes on, and my in laws... well, my kids are 2 of 16 grandkids and they are the ones who don't live close by. They care, but they aren't rabid for updates.

I used to have a "serious" mama blog, but what with 2 kids, black depression, and life in general, it's fallen by the wayside.

Oh, and as for pics of the kids, LOL - hubby is a showoff. His facebook is FULL of pics of the girls.
