What is so bad about Papyrus, anyway?

Using Papyrus is like buying a "designer suit" at Walmart ( ... )

after looking at fonts for our logo, I have learned there is a font subculture... I am definately NOT a sans kind of girl.

The pre-printed cards or the stationary?

Not the paper...the typeface Papyrus.

What I find really funny is that reference #4 in this listing is the very cartoon I posted this morning. Someone out there is really up to date on this wikipedia entry.

Oh! Heh. What is it about that particular font that has your skin crawling? I fear I don't know enough about the geek culture of typeface.

If you read the reply I gave to the other person who commented this morning, that pretty much says it all.

Like...the font?

Yes. See my previous responses for the full explanation, but in short: I loathe its omnipresence.

Heh. I gotta wrestle my inner font snob back into his lair.

Rank these sins in your hierarchy of evil:

Improper Font Use
Designer Suits from Walmart
Replying to an email thread quoting the whole thread only to say "me too"
People who actually say "LOL" or "El-Oo-El" instead of actually laughing
Splashing the Pot
People who ask you to clarify your hierarchy of evil
