This weekend was meant to be a drumming adventure to Arran, but due to chronic lack of funds and other stuff most of us ended up staying in the 'Bra and I ended up having a most lovely, mildly unplanned weekend.

I don't know what to see/smell/listen to/eat in Glasgow - any tips?

Umm, for food Mono is a great vegan cafe, and the 13th note does good grub too. Thats down Trongate way. If you head to the Westend theres a whole heap of good eateries, and you can go to Kelvingrove Museum/Art gallery. Its a Glasgow institution all glowing red stone and interesting stuff, plus its just been refurbished and the art collection is fabulous.

Glasgow Cathedral is the only Catholic Cathedral to survive the reformation intact and is wonderfully gothic and interesting. Its also near the necropolis (which is just what it sounds like), you should go there for a walk.

Theres also St Mungo's museum of Religious Art (one of my favourite places), and the galler of Modern Art on Queen Street.

Try those for starters.

Aye, I think Mr Gibson should be in the UK by now. I saw him at Xmas and they were definitely heading over. It is Dave though and he's crap at e-mail. I should try contacting him really...

Hee hee!good picture!pity we didn't think ot take any of the lovely soiree on Saturday....images of a chicken being fondled,pancakes being devoured and wierdly tall people scratching their feet on the couch....and a very very hungover jen...After I left you lot I called into my friends house (fortunately very very near mine)....wine was consumed, smokage was had....I ended up leaving my bike there and wandering home with my fluffy hair and even fluffier brain in a bit of a daze...Oh and my friends thought I had actually gone and had my hair done that way purposely and complimented it, it made me look girly apparently...I'm a girl so thats ok...hmm...the wonders of rain...clearly im still fuzzy brained!Drumming soon m'dear, so there!yay!:0)xx jen
