The thing, I think, that differs with France from a lot of other countries, is that the Eurovision is perceived as has been here (sorry, it's true) XD No one gives a shit, and well, the only times when we sent real singers (not like the one we sent this year XDDDD), it ended up badly haha. So it can't have any credibility here XD
Lol, what are you talking about? Jessy Matador was 12th, that's not tooo bad. The last three years Germany placed around place 20. But the songs sucked, so no wonder, we usually don't send real singers either because we are also in the Big 4 so we're automatically in the finale. XD
The funny thing is, I know not a single person who actually likes Lena's song, yet she won. Yesterday, at first my friend and I were like... "Lol, she's never going to win." then "Gosh, this year sucks, maybe she'll place in the top ten?" to "OMG WE WON HOW IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE???" XD
