I don't really like Bowie. Maybe someday I'll get it, but I don't get it now. I've tried for four years, but to no avail. Some people love the guy and others supposedly love the guy (maybe because it's hip?). I can totally understand why he's hip. I can appreciate him a lot and I understand his greatness, but I don't find it personally appealing.

Yeah, I'm with you. Same with a few other of the "majors." Maybe it's because I didn't grow up on them.

Yeah I didn't grow up on them either which probably leads to not having idealized feelings about them. I know a lot of people don't get the Beatles, but I can't relate because I am emphatically obsessed with them.

It was hard for me to get into Bowie, but I am now, and theres a lot of songs that I absolutly love :D
