YES for SPAMALOT!! I saw that yesterday, and my mom and I are now planning a trip to NYC sometime next spring. I'm so excited, AND it will be my first broadway play!

You've not seen a Broadway show before?? OMG. You have such a treat waiting for you - you should say when you're coming on CP, Dee is pulling together a list of Claywhores and when we'll all be blitzing NYC. I think we have the opening night covered and a nice smattering of performances for other times in the run.

Squeee!! heehee.

When I get my plans made (which may be a while) I will be sure to inform everyone!

Feel free to bask in my endying envy. I want desperately to see those two RSC productions, but with family obligations etc., it just can't be done. So...I hate you. (In the best possible way.)

Not a CA fan myself, but loved Spamalot. Unfortunately, I saw the touring production, which was idiotic because I live an hour from NYC, but my sister-in-law who lives near Philly got tickets there and invited me and...well, maybe I'll just have to see it again on Broadway.

Have you ever been to NY before?

You can't make the Shakespeare? :-( That bites, I'm sorry. I guess you're in about the same situation there that I probably will be for Spamalot, though I desperately want to see it.

Yeah, I know Clay gets a bad rap for having some truly looney-tunes fans (and oh yes, he has plenty of those) but in person he's the most amazing singer, entertainer and a wet-your-pants funny guy, which so few people seem to know. The man is so damn FAST - I go to watch him just as much for the incredibly quick wit as I do to hear him sing; he often seems to talk more to the audience in his shows than anything else. I <3 the man to bits and cannot wait to see him hit Broadway in that role - I just hope it opens a few eyes to his range and his comic skills.

Cannot stop grinning today. :D

Argh - didn't answer your question! Yes, I've been to NYC plenty and love it so much. I actually worked there for 3 and a half months in 2000, in the Statue of Liberty gift shop - and once upon a time I nurtured a hope of moving there, but it's unlikely to ever happen now.

Still want to come back though. It's one of my favourite places in the world.
