Kahlua was rubbing her eyes sleepily as she padded barefoot down the cool stone hallway. Something had woken her up and she couldn't identify it, whether it had been a dream or a noise. But over the years it was not unusual for her to slip into her brother's room when she was feeling scared; but she also liked pouncing him awake as well.

Kahlua squirmed, but she knew she couldn't get away from him. Eventually she just let herself go limp, and before she knew it, was sound asleep with a smile on her face.

Marc smiled fondly as he stared at his sister's sleeping form, then bent over to give Kahlua a kiss on the forehead. He then pulled the covers over her and decided to head down; she wanted to go shopping, so the least he could do was ask permission from their parents ahead of time, for her.
