The Gigantor Icon Project!

My apologies; I had no idea we would get such a huge response. And by the nature of the challenge: everyone doing a batch of icons based on the same caps, it would be too much to take on more participants at this time. As it stands, each participant is going to have to do 93 icons.
If there is a continued interest, I'll definitely do something like this again. But as for this particular project, no more participants will be allowed.
This idea stemmed from this idea, and we all know what happens when I get...ideas. This is the same type of icon project syxstring and I just did, except it involves anyone who wants to be involved! Here's how it works:
Each person who signs up to participate will choose a fandom. They will be responsible for providing five three caps from that fandom. They'll send them to me by the deadline, and I will post a zip of all the caps for everyone participating to download.
EDIT: Because of the unexpected HUGE response in such a short amount of time, I've changed the number of caps to three. I'm a little nervous about expecting everyone to do hundreds of icons. O_o
You'll have a certain amount of time to make icons with the caps. I'll determine that amount of time when I see how many participants we get. Then you'll post your icons by the deadline date, and leave me a link to your post.
In this journal, I'll make a gigantor icon post with all the icons submitted. It's not a contest or a battle, it's just to see all the different kinds of icons that can be made by a group of people with the same caps.
So if you make icons, sign up! You'll get a chance to practice your iconning skillz, and to work in (hopefully) several new fandoms as well as some of your faves. Bonus, you'll get the thrill of seeing your icons up there alongside other icons made with the same caps, which is always an interesting creative experience.
You have until Wednesday, August 8 at 8 PM EST to sign up. SIGN-UPS ARE CLOSED. Specify a FIRST CHOICE AND SECOND CHOICE fandom when you sign up. Fandoms will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. As long as no one else has claimed it, you'll get your first choice. If someone else has, you'll get your second choice. I'll try to keep this post updated as often as possible with a running list of who has what fandom so you can see what's been claimed.
Once you sign up, and see your fandom choice confirmed, start hunting down caps. The deadline to send the caps to me (either send an attachment in an email, or post photobucket or other download links as a reply to your sign up post) will be Friday, August 10 at 8 PM EST.
