Viscount St. George anonymous August 6 2011, 20:58:59 UTC
According to the "new" Peter Wimsey books (ie. the ones really written by Jill Patton Walsh), Viscount St. George dies flying for England in the Battle of Britain. But we never hear anything about this in the Sayers canon, so I don't know if that matters.

You know, I know I read at least the first Walsh book but don't remember a ton about it. Poor St. George! This has given me the germ of a story idea though. Thanks!

It's authorial canon (The Wimsey Papers) that Saint-George winds up in the RAF; I think it's authorial intent (in some letter or other? I don't have my reference works handy) that he dies nobly in WWII and therefore Peter inherits from Gerald. That's the smidge on which Paton-Walsh based that whole plot thread over something like three books (counting the gratuitous airplane in Thrones, Dominations).

Hmm, as a huge fan of your fanfiction for the longest time, I am curious: have you ever worked on original characters? Seeing your inventive way of reworking fictional characters, I'd be particular interested in any OC or original fiction you've tried your hands on :D

Oh yes. Definitely. I don't post about it a ton because there's not as much interest, but I have occasionally talked about it/shared pieces. Writing really is a hobby for me these days rather than an aspiration to doing it professionally (been there, done that), I just want to share stories with people. So if any of my original stuff ever is finished (or, at least, close to finished), I'll definitely post more.
