This is a random picture I stumbled upon (sorry if it's you/yours), and I was wondering how to do my hair like she has her hair in the back. It looks like just a really basic updo, but I have honestly no idea how to go about it :') My hair is about 2 or 3 inches over my shoulders and a little layered. If anyone could help me, or give me tips on any ( Read more... )

There's really no way to tell with this picture - there's just not enough information. There are many ways to do something similar to this - I think your best bet is to do a style that suits *you*

Curl it up, pin it - roll it up, pin it.. anything will do.

Ah yeah, sorry, I should have been a little more specific; I'm really looking for a really easy way to make my hair look like that, without curling or teasing. Maybe I should just experiment with pinning it up in different ways.

Maybe try googling retro bandanna hairstyles? You might get some tutorials.

Ah that would've been a really easy idea too, why did I forget google? Anyway, I've found something I like for now so nevermind :)!

I don't have pics, but... I section my hair (three or four sections work for me because my hair is thin) and I tie them in super loose knots and pin. I have to use 2 or 3 pins per knot. I guess it looks kind of like this http://www.mydreamwedding.ca/uploads/Image/Maggie/formal_wedding_updos_hairstyle.jpg only in a bandanna and messier.

I googled updo knots for images if you want to look around a little.
