I like the Tropical Star pattern! I have a few old spoons that were handed down to me from the 1950s (I'm assuming) that have a similar star pattern, but the shape of the handle is very different and not gold, just stainless. The name plate on both of them is too worn to read. Actually, one spoon was inherited and the other I bought at a garage sale about 20 years ago, but it was the only piece like it. At this rate, my set will be complete in about 850 years! :D

Well, that was easy! Put enough details in the Googlizer and you can find anything. It's turns out their Mar Crest Citation Stars from the early '60s. Fairly common and fairly cheap. Looks like I have some shoppin' to do!

Well, at least gold wouldn't need polishing (thinks back to silverware parents made me polish when I was a kid).

Still thinks gold would be a bit much - looks Goa'uld style (Stargate) ;)

Gold flatware has recently come back into style. There was a discussion of it at Apartment Therapy this past summer.

I've certainly seen those crystal patterns in the family before but never that color. It's horrendous.
