My mother asked me last night as to what I wanted for my birthday. She pointed out there are a lot of good sales on at the moment, to which I asked if that meant she was just trying to get my present for cheap... Mum insists that, no, it just means she might be able to buy a bit more for me. Which is a problem when I think most of the things I want

Just that when I was growing up it was really easy to organise family presents early... mother was in jan, father in april, me in july, sister in october. It worked really nicely because we were quite spaced out. Of course me and my sister went and both married people who have now squashed the dates and gaps a bit.

I did indeed get some art supplies... and several other things from the list. And things not on the list that were also very awesome.
I've started to sketch a couple of things since... but I'm not great... it's been a long time since I've regularly drawn anything. My mother used to tell me my best drawings were before I went to school. Before I was taught that everything needed an outline.
