1. doorrepairgirl, I note that this contains some Battle of the Smithsonian clips that feed your OTP.

2. I watched twenty minutes of American Idol tonight and I think that'll hold me for another couple years.

3. Oh dear, I was quite looking forward to the crazy weird uber-slashy Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes until I actually saw the trailer. Considering my ( Read more... )

Wait, I--I don't know what the peril is if it's a literal cage for birds. I was prepared to accept the premise of there being a Birdcage style of peril that involved concealing vital information and wacky misunderstanding hijinks? maybe it's that I haven't had my coffee yet.

*has coffee*

Nope, still don't know what kind of peril it is. Bet you're gay.

I was up too late & caffeinated when I wrote that, so you'd think coffee would help with the translation. ;) I just meant the clip where Pharoah Hank Azaria has Jedediah in a birdcage (literal cage for birds, although not containing any birds at the time) and Octavius is looking on angstily from the window. So, you know, peril! From which Octavius will need to rescue him! And there will probably be hugging! (There's also a bit I saw in one of the ads where it looks like Jed's trapped in an hourglass. Oh noes!)

Of course, my brain is now trying to write the Jedediah/Octavius version of the Birdcage, and it's very difficult because it requires them to have an offspring of some sort. Well, no, actually it would mean Jed had a fling back in the day with an awesome gal from, I don't know, the 'Industrial Revolution Era London' diorama...

OH, the BOYS ARE IN PERIL. I thought your movie-going commitments were somehow in peril. I NO LONGER HAVE READING COMPREHENSION.

Well, I mean, keep in mind I haven't seen the first movie, is Octavius supposed to in some way "be" the historical Augustus, or what? Because if so, he has a headstrong child from an earlier marriage, but I think the comedic PG version of her life might just make me cry...
