Scary moment.

Yesterday while on my lunch break, I ran into a rather scary moment. I had gone into the nearby Dairy Queen to get a small ice cream as I've been extraordinarily good on my diet lately. I'm sorry you had a scare. Jeeze.

But even if you are single, don't respond substantively to such an incredibly forward question as "Are you [sexual orientation]?", perhaps unless you are not only single but also standing in a meat-market nightclub, etc.

Let alone if you're with someone.

Just glower. "Can I help you with something?"

Yeah, it is never easy to deal with when it happens. The last time it happened to me was at a pridefest by one of the booth workers. Was rather weird being hit upon like that.

He's lucky he didn't run into me. Since you were in a restaurant, I would have whipped out a pocket knife and asked, "Do you mind if I get this to go?"
