I was reading a stranger blog yesterday and it rekindled my desire for a new bag, and that is bag as opposed to backpack. But first, I have some ethical qualms with getting a new bag. I certainly need to replace the tattered old backpack I’ve been taking to work of late. But getting a spiffy new backpack would be the cheaper and more practical ( Read more... )

Late to the party, just back from vacation, but I wanted to chime in.

I have a Coach bag my husband bought me for my birthday eight years ago. It was ridiculously expensive, but is also ridiculously well made and durable. I have carried it for an average of 8-10 months/year for eight years, and it is as good as new, and looks great.

Well worth it, in my opinion.

I have one Coach purse that several years old. It's a little shabby looking now, but that's just because it's a light color (sort or taup with dark wine/purple accents, gorgeos). I've cleaned it thoroughly with saddle soap but it just doesn't seem to make the light color look good again. I still use it anyway when I need a purse of that size. So anyway, I vow never to get a light colored leather item again, no matter how pretty it looks new and was pretty sure I wanted a medium brown colored bag ( ... )
