Hullo ducklings. It is indeed! It's only very recently been made available on DVD (2009) but it exists. And it's only six episodes long too. I'm thinking of getting my hands on it myself.

And this series was written by John Mortimer, no less! Incidentally, I've just realised that Nicholas Clay, who played the Earl, was Lancelot in the 1981 Excalibur. Filmmakers and such made good use of his attractiveness in many instances, it would seem... :P

I'm glad you enjoyed! I aim to please (as well as you know, self-indulging my need to gush about various fandoms). XD

And yes, it would seem so. When I type in "Nicholas Clay" into the youtube search engine a whole bunch of highly homoerotic videos from a movie called "The Martyrdom of St. Sebastian" came up. And I hardly blame them. The man is very dashing.
