How cool.

I stumbled across this online. I had forgotten all about it even though I used to watch the old original movie of Doctor Dolittle all the time. Seeing these lyrics the song came back to me. How awesome it is. Maybe it subliminally messaged me as a kid?

Oh, that's awesome. I love it! And I've never seen that movie. Maybe I should?

It's worth it for the giant sea snail, never mind the songs. And Anthony Newley's trousers are really something.

I remember loving that movie as a kid, but I remember nothing of it (except the snail!). No wonder I turned out to be a vegan! (Well, that combined with the fact that I never liked the texture/taste of meat, and probably a healthy dose of Sesame Street, too.)

Thanks!

I want to find that movie now...

I used to love this movie... barely remember it though... perhaps it was subliminal!... Between this and reading Charlotte's Web repeatedly, it's no wonder I got these crazy don't-hurt-animals ideas in my head.

I just did a search, and found this song from the same film - it's a little bizarre ( ... )

It's such an interesting song. He suffers from a lack of culinary skills (his own and other peoples'), and he does get tempted by meat, but then he recalls the awful price of it and sticks to his guns no matter how hard it might get. It makes you wish vegancooking was around when Dr Dolittle was written...
