I'm also trying to make this recipe for homemade vegan paneer (Indian fresh cheese) and it calls for some ( Read more... )

For the bread, perhaps you could use soy milk instead and then reduce the water?

I've seen other vegan paneer recipes that are basically the same, minus the agar. I think it will be fine without it. the egg replacer might be good for a binder. I've also done paneer recipes with just raw chunks of tofu. real paneer doesn't have a ton of taste anyway so plain tofu is a good sub.

I know that whenever my grandma adjusts her French bread recipe for my vegan aunt, she leaves out the powdered milk and adds a little bit more oil, and it works fine.

I don't know about substitutes, and I'm way overtired so I can't think of anything habanero except salsa. I WILL give you two warnings, however -

1. Don't fry them, you'll get maced.

2. Don't pick your nose after chopping habaneros.

Make some habanero based hot sauce, mustard, relish. I have done all of these things with my extra harvest and internet recipe help.
