100 pushups, non-stop, FTW. I feel GREAT. (And you can, too!)

Remember how the last time I tried to whiten my teeth nearly ended to total world destruction? Well, I'm doing it again. I've got some oral surgery and dental work that has to be done, and since they have to color-match my teeth, they strongly encouraged that I whiten them, because ( Read more... )

LOL. Molds of your teeth... hahahahaah I'm only laughing because my dad is a dental tech, and He could probably make me a whole mouth of teeth if I wanted. In fact, I've got a statue of my hand at 5 years old sitting in my room back home.

Another creepy dental tech fact - over the years he's dropped pieces and lost finished teeth in his lab. So when it comes time to clean out his lab in the basement, there's no doubt we'll find plenty of loose teeth that have been wedged under his work station or rolled into corners that never see the light of day.

And good luck with the dental work. I always hate getting dental work done, and it didn't help that my last appointment was for 5 fillings, and it took just about that many shots of Novocaine or whatever 'ocaine they use these days. All the drugs in my system made me barf all night. *sigh*

eyeawry LOVES teeth. It's almost disturbing. I'm just glad she's not going in to dentistry, because I know her solution for everything from abscesses to routine cleanings would be "gotta pull it!"

I'm not terribly concerned about the dental work. My dentist is awesome- I never feel the injections and never have any adverse reactions. He'll be replacing a cap (or whatever) where I chipped my front tooth 17 years ago (they're only supposed to last 10 years). Then I've got some minor periodontic surgery as well, which I'm looking forward to a whole lot less. Oh well. It won't be bad. I'm just glad that I have good teeth and take care of them!

I keep the cast of my teeth in my china cabinet. It's awesome.

Really? I do spend a fair amount of time at the gym and I can do like 25 cheater push ups straight through. Maybe 13-15 "real" push ups. 10 push ups on barbells.

there's a 6-week program called hundred pushups (or something similar) online and it is allegedly designed to enable anyone to be able to perform 100 continuously if they stick the the regiment. So if you're trying to do more, you might give it a shot!
