[Hubert happens to be navigating the forest when he comes across the tent. Needless to say, it's an incredibly odd sight, and he takes a good second or two simply staring. Is someone in there?

He takes a small step, right onto a twig which produces a sharp noise as it snaps in two. Ah. That would alert whoever's inside, although it was partly unintentional.

Still, partly intentional.]

[The sudden snap startles the girl inside the tent. She freezes for a moment, holding her breath for a moment to see she could hear anything else. It's only now she remembers Shigure warning her of 'weirdos' who tended to wander the forests at night.

But, well, it was probably just an animal, right? Or someone just passing through! There was nothing to worry about really... right? Of course not. Eh heh heh... Tohru worms her way to the edge of her tent, pulling back on of the sides to peek her head out.]

Umm... Is someone out there? [It was probably just a squirrel. Yeah. A squirrel! Perfectly harmless.]

[obsequience]

[A squirrel shaped like a human being of fair height. Hubert's gaze rests on the head that peeks out of the edge of the tent. So, someone is staying here -- and a young girl, no less. He's rather not sure what to make of the bizarreness of the situation.]

. . . Yes. Might I ask what you're doing out here?

Oh! Why hello there! [A human being indeed! And with blue hair no less. Her little tent sure was popular, wasn't it...? Maybe she should have chosen a different spot?]

I was just... camping! That's all. [It was the simplest answer, anyway.]

[obsequience]

[Camping in Vatheon? "That's all." He can't fathom what part of this the girl seems to think is natural.]

I see. [ . . . ] Is there any reason why?

N-, no! No real reason, really. It was just a nice night and I thought... Eh-heh. [She's already feeling guilty for lying. It's probably written all over her face. She just... she'd worried enough people already.]

You thought . . . ?

[Indeed, he can tell she's . . . out of her element, in a phrase. He fixes his glasses, breaking eye contact for a second in case she needs that relief.]

I thought that this would be alright... for me. [There. That was a more honest answer. She'd rather liked the idea of staying out here. Now, she wasn't quite as sure.]

So, umm, what brings you all the way out here, Mr...?

[obsequience]

. . . Is that so? [Well, he won't pry. His tone's softened a bit there, to indicate that he's not at all miffed by her answer.]

Hubert Ozwell. I am on a . . . walk, of sorts.

[Tohru would be grateful for that, if she knew. She felt a little silly now, staying out here instead of in town like most everyone else.]

[Hm, he could probably afford to be forthright about this.]
